I don’t understand why the Bladon Chains site is completely booked for April (apart from 1 day) . I know Easter is in April, and that all the pitches aren’t opened, but it seems a bit odd. C

Blenheim Palace is a huge draw for many

As said above not all pitches are open with only 31 hardstandings open but does seem strange being fully booked even with Blenheim events.

Agree, looking at the site plan only 31 of the 91 pitches are H/S, grass pitches look as if they have not been released yet. Given the weather we have had/got I think they are being sensible, better to release them nearer the time if ok rather than have to cancel lots of folks plans at the last minute.

The site opens next month, , I would think that until the site staff arrive on site (maybe this week?) and assess the site the grass pitches may be released,  if they are in good enough condition to accept LVs ,   especially after the wet weather we have been having and still forecast,     other seasonal sites will also I would think be in the same position ,give the site a ring next week before they open,    you may get a reply ,   if the staff are not still clearing up after the winter surprised

That prompted me to look at what Blenheim are offering by way of special events as we have a yearly pass which we bought last autumn. Sadly the only two events I would like to go to are fully booked at Bladen already and the grass pitches are available as the events are in the summer. Must get my act to gether and book earlier if I want somewhere special.

Thank you to everyone who commented. I intend to keep a watchful eye. We have used the site many times, as it is close to family, and, a really good place to stay. C
