I read elsewhere that C&CC are closing some sites and cancelling people’s bookings due to staff shortages. Sure enough, it's true and they've updated their website today. I hope nobody here is affected.

That would be fine by me but I suspect more difficult to police? What would be interesting would be to see what value the Club put on a daily electrical connection?

Looking at the prices for Alderstead Heath next summer as much as £6.40 a night difference between standard and economy pitches.

Add on the fact you have to apply the per person charge on top and they are still well overpriced compared to CL's.

We know loads of off grid CL's, comparable with economy pitches, some at only £5 or £6 a night.

I guess it wouldn’t be to create grass economy pitches😄

It certainly appears from your experience, Corners, that people are looking for more services and an easy time away to fully enjoy their leisure and that they’re willing to pay for the privilege which flies in the face of claims that people find club prices too high.

I agree, and really what matters is what is happening on club sites rather than the relativity few who post on here?

But as often been said what is reported on here and what actually happens on club sites are two different worlds.

Which when looking seems to be very few complaining,, far more are in tune with what todays prices are and will not come down ,more the other way if the media and other sources predict.

, As OHs son says "how do you manage to do what you do on your pensions"?  surprised

Of course. You read it here.

Mine is often the voice of reason that you often choose to sidestep so I can speak with some authority and experience of your tactics.

As for 'likes', how petty to study them and what a huge lack of judgement to then admit to doing so. You need to pause and think before posting, JV.

Of course club sites cost more than a CL, I wouldn't say overpriced as you're not comparing like for like. Club sites belong to a large organisation, sites are easily ten times the size of CLs (some 20 or 30+  times), and club sites in general have more facilities on offer than CLs.

But really what is the problem? Those that want cheaper prices go to CLs those that want 'full fat' go to club sites?

Quite. It’s what happens with regard to site use that tells the story. As you allude to, only a very tiny proportion of members use this forum.
