Chatsworth site evacuated

I went to Chatsworth House for the day yesterday (with no van)! The park is underwater, and walking not impossible but difficult if you leave the paths. The house was open as usual and they are putting the Christmas market up ready for the opening on Friday. Please check their website if you are planning a visit. The are not selling any more house tickets for the coming weekend, as they cannot accommodate any more cars on the grass. The weather forecast for Thursday is atrocious and we may have more flooding on the A6 and in Chesterfield.

Please be careful!

I know what grass is ...... and I've yet to see dead grass due to leaves .... leaves become mulch and compost down. If leaves killed grass then the country side would be full of dead grass.

Depends how covered with leaves an area is as to whether the leaves will mulch downwink

Quite right to,  as in any scenario that any companies / LAs staff would need to do that involves keeping an area safe or in good condition for the following yearwink
