CL inspections

We booked a CL back in March for a ten day stay. Upon arriving today we were most annoyed to find SIX OTHER UNITS pitched, who clearly were not leaving. We were expected as well, since there was a stake with our name on it where we, THE SEVENTH were expected to set up ! Needless to say, we didn't.

Are there no checks ,especially in ' honey pot' areas like the South West , especially with the boom in 'staycationing'.

The owner was most put out on finding that we wouldn't be stopping, claiming that she could have let the spot many times over.  Not without breaking the rules, she couldn't!

I have no idea where you get the idea that some on here are "trashing"over 5 limit occupied CLs ,it is the whole legal concept that some CLs are themselves are "trashing" and putting in jeopody,

If CL owners want to abuse their certificate for monetry gain ,and very many seem to be in the realms  of non facilt club sites (without the on site staff) they need to apply to the LAto be a full comercial site , that i have been told is a much easier and quicker route than starting from scratch

Read the posts John and see the flippant attitude  to losing a Cl as a result of their report's.  Finished now and going to catchup with GOT.

Why bother when there is no real attempt to enforce any limit by Local Auth or anyone else. Just take as many as you can, club members or not.

That’s irresponsible but, as a non-member, you've nothing you lose.

What amazes me fish is how you can pick and choose which rules you think should be obeyed and which should not

He is not the only one ( non member) and some are not even caravan/motorhome owners either tongue-out

I know of no other non-member who consistently advocates flouting the rules.

And some members haven't had a dog for over 60 years yet still post regularly with advice and comments about them, crazy isn't it?
