Well we are very lucky we have received confirmation that we can stay on site  with others for the forceable future 😓(site now on lockdown)

obviously we are paying our pitch fees , but of course with Easter looming and higher rates for what would be high season (school holidays) plus Easter bank holiday, appear to be cancelled by all and sundry, government/churches , what’s your opinion on the cc charging us full holiday rates , pitch fees ,

do you think they should or not

Comment from the Community Manager:

In line with government guidelines, we have agreed members that are either key workers or, with no fixed abode can remain on site. For the few members that are with us, the Club have now confirmed that pricing will continue at the rates applicable on 22nd March, the date of closure. This will continue for the period we are closed commercially, until 30th June 2020. If you are still on site and have any questions about pricing or booking during this period, please call the site office and they can discuss this with you. We wish all our members, their families and those dear, the very best during the months ahead, keep well and safe. Do keep an eye on our website for further updates.

Are you sure this is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site. I am unaware of any club site that is anything other than a touring site. All club sites are closed with only Site Staff in occupation. Can you name this site so we can all know? Here in Wales all sites, touring and static (except those with a residential licence) are shut by the Welsh Assembly Government. This is surely the same in England and Scotland. Something is not right here.

Being charged the listed price for Easter is NOT profiteering, just be thankful you have a site to stay on. Hope you have a good time.

First of all I am only putting forward a conversation from other CAMC on site , and we are all glad we have been allowed to stay , as for Easter site fees we just wondered if they will or not , there was no moaning or nastiness in the comments made by anyone , some tongue in each yes,

Sorry your wrong it’s the Tredegar house site in Newport it is definitely a CAMC site, we are in lock down the reason I said it’s more of a stop over site while touring is because I can assure you Newport is not a holiday destination.

It could be covered by this, Scoutman -

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-advice-for-accommodation-providers

I’m assuming we're talking about fulltimers on seasonal pitches. If they have no other home, they could be allowed to stay.

Yes tinwheeler seasonal pitches don’t think so not sure , but full timers yes they nearly all are and yes to say once again government intervention allowed us all to say and many other sites around the country to

At least the horrendous road noise there will be muted. Can you walk the Park area?

Sorry, but this is so wrong. All club sites are touring only, not residential. You can only stay for 21 days then vacate. Aneurin Bevan Health Area (Gwent) has by far the greatest number of CV19 cases in Wales. 358/700.
