Leaf blowing

We watched a warden wandering around the site this morning with her petrol leaf blower. There wasn't a leaf in sight, there's barely a leaf on any tree. The only things she blew were a few bits of stray gravel & a puddle. What a complete waste of time, effort & resources. No wonder the toilet block had to be shut at 10 to make time for such important tasks.

But she was able to put a tick in a box 😉.  Blow job done now off to clean the facilities and tic off those that would like to use them 😁.

Of course ..... 10 till 10.45 .... to coincide with when most would want to shower innocent

well if it shuts at 10 every day (and assuming they don't blow leaves every day) then your statement:

No wonder the toilet block had to be shut at 10 to make time for such important tasks

is a little misleading? The timing is another matter, do most want to shower at that time? I'm usually out and about by then.

personally if the site is of the usual quality and the toilets/showers are clean, I just leave the wardens to get on with it and run the site their way while I enjoy my holiday.

Really? Have you done a survey to come to that conclusion? I'd have thought, though I certainly have no evidence, that "most" would want to shower either earlier than 10 unless they're just having a lazy day on site, or, like me, later in the afternoon after being out walking all day.

Edit - just noticed your smiley to so maybe I took your comment too literally! wink

When I'm 'on holiday' I want to take my time in the morning .... walk the dog etc .... not shower to an early time table. I'd suggest that 10 is to early for most, especially when there are only 2 showers in each of the nearby shower block.

The wardens should be running the site to suit the majority of us .... not them, the waste of time leaf blowing was just the icing on the leaf-less cake.

I'm up at half 5 or half 6 when I'm at work so when out in the caravan I want a lazy start to my days when away.

When in the van I generally shower in the evening after a day of activity, if by chance they were closed I would use the vans facility.
