The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

If only Club sites could match this list from a family owned campsite - which also has reception open all day from 8 am. to 8 pm.

There is an unfortunate tendency to use "  Butlins" as a way of dismissing sites with more  facilities than a toilet block in a field.  Just a few weeks since we spent time on a site with a pool complex, tennis courts, gym, archery, golf and the list goes on.€40 when we arrived in high season  then €20 thereafter. Oh and I nearly forgot  access to a wonderful beach and nothing remotely "hide de hi" about it.

I'm not sure what your point is ET, if only - if only what? you would then use club sites?

Sounds a good site if you want all that, so would be better of you could actually name it and prices to help others out?

But it appear to be a French site? So not totally sure why you've posted in the UK section and on a thread about the booking systems? I know it's morphed into pods but still nothing about pods in your post there?

Also I know you don't use club sites so to help you out as you don't appear to know but items 1, 2 and 6 through 10 can all happen on club sites too.

As for kitchen equipment most users of club sites have that already in their units, why do you think it's a good idea to them on club sites as well?  (sinks are provided btw)

As people obviously want these attractions on site or very close by it is good that there are places that provide such things.  They will serve to keep things easier to book on the simple sites with a (fairly) level pitch and a good view that I prefer.

I am not dismissive of Butlins. They offer all inclusive at one end of a scale, whilst somewhere like Center Parcs are mid range, with Warners a bit more. Hi de hi never crossed my mind. My sister did a work placement at a Butlins complex and has always said how professionally run the sites are and how they cared for their staff and customers. You are the one being dismissive with your outdated Hi De Hi comment possibly?

We stayed on something similar in Northumberland a few years ago. Only 15 pitches, with a rather idyllic camping area elsewhere. They didn’t do mussels and chips though…….. £15 per night as I recall. It had the advantage of being a Dark Skies accredited site as well. And no ferry fees.😁 Three bathrooms for use, plus you could hire a private loo unit for your exclusive use if required. It’s still there, we need to revisit.

Glad to be proved wrong then AD. Never stayed, but I did visit my sister when she was on work placement. Her course covered a wide range of holiday accommodation. She eventually ended up in Lochinver working in a big shooting and fishing hotel up there, then went over to Crete for a while. She got around all over World quite a bit. Mainly Europe.
