It's really what you pay your subs for isn't it?

The site flooded at 5 am with the massive deluge shown  on TV today..so were we left to fend for ourselves in a muddy mess...no

Wardens got out of bed, helped people move to higher ground, helped people leave via the now flooded barriers, retrieved floating belongings and switched on big pumps and drained the site dry by teatime.

Everyone who was due to leave was visited and reassured, told to stay put at no cost till ready to move out

And then they cleaned all the toilet block, emptied the bins and cleared up our rubbish which had got swept away in the torrent

Just saw them sat down to dinner at 7 with a beer

We all have justifiable gripes about the Club  but really we need to realise that these guys are on our side

Yes, well done the wardens.

How sad, though, that the same deluge might have caused a landslip possibly resulting in the train derailment and subsequent loss of life. A terrible thing.

They are being paid .. they don't do it for nothing.

Everyone who was due to leave was visited and reassured, told to stay put at no cost till ready to move out

Did you really expect to have to leave at 12? And if you couldn't leave by then due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, would you really think you'd have been expected to pay extra?

At 0500 in the morning? no extra pay for those hours and i bet they did not finish earlyundecided

Good that customer care is stiil prevails, and members were  reasured by the site staff visiting wink, rather than wondering what to do
