Stop over with water Cornwall to Nottingham

Hi everyone!
Middle of August we will be travelling back from Cornwall to Nottingham and would like to book a 3 night break halfway,preferably Caravan Club.
We would like somewhere with a stream or a river for our dog - he loves water! 2 adults and prefer beauty to lively!
Any suggestions?

Club site or CL? How close to water do you want to be, walking distance or short car drive? You could of course try for the Bristol site!!

The AS site at Chew Valley is just south east from Bristol and has a great big lake almost on its doorstep.

How about Tewkesbury? Easy access from M5, lovely site in a lovely town and two (yes, two) rivers within easy walking distance!
