TV signal at Clumber campsite

Very little but i am sure the site office as in the past will let you have one if you cross their hands with the appropriate amount

Or nip in B&Q, buy the cable and fittings and make your own.

B&Q is the other side of Worksop along the A57

There must be a signal there otherwise the booster wouldn't get one! I suppose the answer is to try and see how you get on. If you have a Smart Phone I would suggest downloading the App "UK Aerial Alignment" which will not only show the direction for the aerial but will also give you an indication of signal strength. We were recently at Seacroft where they said the signal was poor but we got a perfectly good picture via our aerial. If all else fails I would just cough up the £12/15 for a new cable, certainly wouldn't be traipsing around DIY store to save what you would use in fuel unless you happened to be passing said DIY store!!!

Not necessarily. Some sites receive a signal by satellite and push that out through the bollards!!

I am fairly sure the signal on the site posts at Clumber is freeview not freesat. The signal without it is poor, the trees around the site are numerous and soak up EM transmissions, including mobile phone signals. The clubs aerial is somewhat higher than your average caravan or MH one.

I also wouldn't bother driving across Worksop to B&Q. Given the cost of coaxial and connectors, as its not the cheapest for those sort of things, you wouldn't save much if anything.

If the signal came via a satellite surely you would have the whole range of local programmes across the country as I did with my roof mounted dish on my previous motorhome?  I have only seen aerials on Club sites. When I have used the bollard connections you can only get programmes from one or perhaps two local transmitters which would also suggest an aerial rather than a satellite receiver?
