I found this little video clip on the BBC, all about training guide dogs. I have a friend who has been a puppy walker for the guide dogs for many years and also another friend who has a daughter with a degenerative eye illness, she's in her thirties and married to someone who is also visually impaired and a very special guide dog came into their lives a couple of years ago.

I also like to support them but don't wish to make a permanent commitment. The other day in Tesco I got some money out to give to the person collecting for guide dogs, to be told. Oh we are only signing folk up for Direct Debit. They must be loosing out, as I am sure I am not the only one who would have contributed but just walked on.
