....to the Humber Bridge!
40 years ago today it opened to traffic for the first time - we were living in Hull at the time and made frequent trips to see the various stages in its construction. On the evening before there was what, at the time was the most impressive firework display we'd ever seen, hundreds of us sat out on the banks watching.
