Saddened to hear today of the death of Harry Gregg Goalkeeper and Manager.

Along with all the well known parts of his life Mr Gregg was manager of Crewe Alexandra for about three years in the mid 1970's.

Sad, but thankfully a long life, if touched by tragedy a few times. I did the Old Trafford tour in the 1990’s, and there was quite a bit in the wonderful Club Museum about the air crash. He was determined it wouldn’t be what he was remembered for, and I think he achieved that.
