Hoping  against  hope  that  the  Thai  Childrens  football  team,  and  Coach,  are  all  safely  recovered  from  the  caves  they  have  been  trapped  in  for  10  or  so  days.

At  least  the  entire  Cave  Rescue  World  is  fighting  on  their  behalf  right  now.

Plus 1

It'll be quite a task to plan the logicisits to keep them safe and retrieve them. Let's hope they are and keep in good physical and mental health.

Newsnight, BBC2, on Tuesday evening covered this story in depth and also interviewed a chap who along with another guy was trapped in a cave in Derbyshire and had to be rescued by specialist divers. The guy who was trapped gave a fascinating, if scary, account of the thought processes he went through.

remember the miners in Chile I think it was, they drilled down a hole big enough for a cage and pulled them out one by one.  good luck to all the lads.

So sad, so ironic, to hear of the death of a diver taking oxygen to the lads for him to die of lack oxygen. Goes to show what a dangerous mission is 😢

It's now crunch time for urgent action as the Monsoon rains are imminent.  Good luck to the trapped youngsters and to the brave divers who are risking their lives to save them. There's no time left to start drilling shafts from above. The youngsters will have to be helped to swim through the cave network.

4 boys rescued yesterday and another 4 today. Obviously it won't be totally good news until the remaining 4 boys and their coach have been rescued. But we can only hope and be in awe of the bravery of all concerned in this rescue.
