Books to Films/TV.

I hear that War and Peace is to be made into a TV series.  I've never read it but always felt I should as it's such a famous classic.  My initial reaction, I admit, is "Great.  I can just watch it on television now; that'll be easier".

But books are often so much better than the films. 

What films disappointed you after loving the book?

Any that were the other way round, i.e. the film was better than the book?
