Any ideas for things to nibble at over Xmas?
I am going to have a go at these, bit different from sweet truffles, might even count as one of your 5 a day๐

Posted on 19/12/2020 20:24 by moulesyI always threaten Mrs M with some chocolate coated Brussels Sprouts on Christmas Day! Don't think it would be too difficult to rustle up a few!

Which tier are you in now? Will you be able to share?

We went into the last lockdown in Tier 3, did November lockdown, then back out into Tier three. Our rates plummeted during that lockdown, continued going down up to last week, now rising slightly. Only family we see at moment is my Mum and Sister, been like that since March. Keeps my Mum and OH as safe as possible. Same over Christmas, our little bubble, means I can help out caring for Mum. So close to that vaccine now, we are happy to carry on as we are.
That recipe only makes 15, they won’t last long๐

Yep you're so right on safety! We've kept very tight for OH and DIL but distance means not seen them hence the disappointment- but better safe than sorry. No jab for DIL at the mo, probably irrelevant as by the time she 'qualifies' that should no longer apply. Better to be around for the future.....
15 for one in my case is generous ๐คฃ๐คฃ

Sounds yummy M. I made ice cream for our last two Xmas day puds, so having a rest this year. Sister is making a Crouquembouche!
I did a Christmas Spice Ice Cream last year, Marmalade and Burnt Toast year before. That one doesn’t use eggs, absolutely delicious.

Not in my case.
Until about 10 years ago thee were never more than 5 or 6 to cater for. Up until about 5 years ago and for around 20 years before I used to throw two parties a year with a table full of nibbles for up to 20 people or so. I would spend 2 days preparing. One in December and one in August. Also threw a dinner party every year with a choice of main course and deserts
