The facilties at Commons Wood have not been rebiult just repaired after the fire  in the roofwhich also caused internanl damage the only other work was some new panels and some work on the dish wash area and a repaint, i understand the fire was caused by a fault in the roof electrics (when contractors were at workundecided) as seems numerous fires startsurprised

It may have been connected  with the contractors work but they certainly were not  " at work" when it broke out at around 1am.

That "point" was why the repairs  to the roof were not commenced strait away as it was disputed by the contractors insuranceundecided, do not know the outcome before work started

But this afternoon we're off to Harrogate to see Squeeze (surely you've heard of them?

We saw them a good few years ago at Blackburn and they were excellent, but we only had standard seating. Hope you have a great night out, Goldie.

A third fine day at home. Work around the garden today, pruning a couple of trees, digging out the Begonias which I hope to dry off and save for next year, and some general clearing up.

Lucky you Nellie, another damp day here.

However, I have got a lot of sorting out done today, mainly wardrobe and drawers. Outed some clothes, put Summer stuff away, now got Winter stuff to the fore. Not quite sure how my sock drawer had accumulated six phones, but there’s a bit more room now! Three Blackberry’s, two Nokia’s and an IPhone 4S. They all work as well! 😁

Not too bad a day here, sunny but very cold again.  Got the sides of all 3 tall units for that utility room reduced in depth with DD and SIL helping with the carrying and holding, so I can continue with those even when they are not there.

All of the new sockets etc on that wall are now in place but I still have to prepare the wall for plastering, and to install the pipe work for the new radiator before the new wall can be finished.  I hope DD can get the plasterers in at short notice so work can proceed without delay.

There are a few other things I can carry on with meantime, plus DS has just told me he will have a new mixer tap for me to install soon, and OH has some things lined up too   surprised
