Orion and itβs nebula showing well last night.π
Frosty but sunny day today so panels charging well for the 3rd day running.π
Had fun on the doorstep yesterday tying a canvasser for a political party in knots. I managed to confuse this one for about 10 minutes before they remembered an important appointment. π€£

Thank you for the reminder, OP . I was having lunch when you posted, so was well away from this old desk top but drove past Curry shop on the way home from surgery with my 'new' sample bottle, so popped in to get a pack of inks for the printer. Came out with a damaged wallet & a cheap(ish) mains CD / Radio . Wont fill the same spot as t'old one but I've got a full ' dis mantling ' kit I can apply my over sized paws to if it insists on being non-compliant
No worries about 'door steppers ' -- Even the Sally Army Band & the Lion's Santa Express tip toe past my door these days so even the hardest of politicians accepts all they get from here is only marginally short of a Criminal Charge Oh Bliss oh Happy Days

Thanks all. It’s going to take some time to get to grips with it. We had arranged for them to come over to us for a meal on the 27th Dec (he works shifts, so not easy to arrange), it’s going to seem strange. She had several health problems over the years, but this was a bolt out of the blue.

Just having a catch up on here. Very chilly day here but bright, dried bedding outside and it smelt lovely π. Pegged my towels out at dusk ππ as forecast dry!
Went over to mums to find some more paperwork, brother doing it all thankfully, but I live closer now he's moved, and he'll call in when he brings his wife for day case op at local hospital Wednesday. Upside of that was we called into the nearest local pub, her village ones have been gone for years π’ and had lunch so I avoided cooking tonight. Postponed dog walk until dusk to see 2nd advent calendar window, took a detour into the 'people busy' street it was on, but disappointed as there was no sign of it. Walked back past the church hall and delighted to see 1st window, well all 5 that face the road, were again lit up. Tomorrow's is in the road behind us so another change of scenery around dusk.
Plenty of policital activity about here from what I've seen. This is a 2 horse race area and I think the current incumbent is extra worried this time around. Unfortunately I was on the phone when they knocked and couldn't engage with them. OH however was returning from dog walk and had a discussion π
Out of interest and not wanting to to be nosey KjNelln why don't you have a vote? I was chatting with a south African recently and she can vote but is now a British citizen.
Virtually all that can be done regarding mum has been done now just waiting on the coroner - they said it would take up to 7 working days before we hear.
Hopefully I can have a day indoors tomorrow, I had hoped for it today, it's amazing how things can slide! As beautiful and wonderful our grand dog is and no matter how much paw wiping goes on she does leave a trail....... luckily she doesnt shed fur! Naturally, as appears to be normal for her stays, the weather turns WET WET WET even in this generally DRY area. Our cleaner has been poorly and she thoughtfully won't bring germs knowingly bring germs into our house, so shes missed 2 weeks and I've not had much time myself, still just agreed extra time this week but I still need to make a start!
