We started clearing the bathroom on Tuesday, all cupboards emptied, quite a few ancient bottles of various stuff disposed of, empty "fancy" containers recycled etc etc, so will not be nearly as much to put back eventually.
Yesterday, OH had to go to the dentist, then we had to go out to feed DD's budgies, so took the opportunity to tank up for the trip to the east coast tomorrow, and purchase the tile cement, grout, and tile trim required for our project.
Today, having numbered and labelled all the units and their doors, I have started trying to remove them. Not easy to get the wall ones down as they are grouted to the tiles along the bottom edges. Strong stuff that grout, it is epoxy grout, even with all the fixings removed the units are still hanging on the wall! I am having to hack off the tiles below them to get them down, just as well there are only 4 of them.
No idea how I will get the 4 floor units free either, as first I need to remove the countertop, and that is also grouted in to the tiles. I may try using my Dremel to try to cut the grout. Does not matter if the countertop gets damaged as it is being replaced, but the end unit is grouted in down one side, so do not want to damage that.
We obviously were never planning on having to remove anything!
Tomorrow we retrieve the holidaymakers from North Berwick, so that will be an early start. Leaving time is 12 noon, so we need to allow a couple of hours to pack up everything, and 1 1/2-2 hours to get there. So an 8am departure from here. Just hope it is dry tomorrow, no fun packing up in the rain.

WN - Sounds like your are having a nice break away in Norfolk a county we have never ever visited must be the only part of the UK we have never been to we must put it in our to do list.
Been a busy but enjoyable couple of days here. Yesterday we had a lazy morning then went in to Chester in the afternoon all very different from last time we were here 4 years ago all new road layouts etc but we eventually got a parking space in the city century and spent and enjoyable couple of hours wandering around and then popped in to Cheshire oaks in the way back as SWMBO wanted to pick up a few bits and pieces for granddaughter. Today I was up early and went out a cycle to the Elamite port boat museum nice morning for it. This afternoon we done something completely different we went in to Liverpool and done the tour of Anfield Stadium which was excellent eve. SWMBO enjoyed it the guide was very entertaining and informative really was such a good tour. Left there at half 4 then Went to the Bridge Inn again at Port Sunlight for a meal which as usual was great. It’s getting colder at night now we have just had to put the heating on in the van.

You sound like you've had a good week too Francis. Fortunately the weather seems to have been settled for both of us. I once lived about 400 yards away from Anfield on the edge of Stanley Park. Had a happy time there.
Didn't you say you are off to Blackpool after Chester? If so have a good trip.
One more day for us then homeward bound.

Sounds good in your latest area Nellie, there is another CL we keep meaning to visit near Saltash. I have relatives near Millbrook and like that part of Cornwall. Antony House had always been a bit limited, we like walking around Mount Edgecombe.
I can certainly recommend this CL, Ashton Farm, about 5 mls North West of Saltash, easily accessed lengths A388 but nice and quiet, good value too. Not got to Mount Edgecombe this trip but would visit should we come back again, and also see more of the Rame peninsula.

Anfield sounds an interesting visit Francis👍 I can recommend a tour around Old Trafford as well. Full of history, great museum. Not sure if it still happens, but every game a wreath was placed on the seat that was Sir Matt Busby’s after he retired. It’s a long time since my visit, but we got to say hello to a young Ryan Giggs and Peter Schmiechel. I’ve been back since to matches. Your ticket comes with a warning about all the stairs to climb for the away area!😁
Mum day for me, packed her case for her next trip, then back home to finish off MH. My Fitbit says I have been for a swim as well, but I can’t recall that bit of the day🤣 Technology is lying methinks.

Thick mist when we woke up which took a long time to disperse. Drove up to Kit Hill Country Park where we had a good walk around and up to the top. Unfortunately the mist still obscured most of the views, not fully clearing until we were heading back to the car. The sun came out in the late afternoon and it was warm enough to sit outside in a few shirt. This is our last night here before we move on again, this time into Devon again. Would not hesitate to use this site again if in the area.

Blue skies and fluffy clouds over South Cheshire, but temperature dropping so A B M is being good today, plenty of washing under way and loads of ironing for tomorrow { Only the bits folk see though }. Then I'll have as much footie on radio as I can get to save one seeing all the "Hand-wavers"
Do so hope you all manage to enjoy the weekend without running into shortages at all at all ( Shades of Jimmy Cricket - I must be getting old ! )
