Hai all

I remember a couple of years ago someone started a thread about what outfit  people had. I found it quite interesting and I know some of us have changed since then so I will start off.

2018 Lunar Cosmos 544 towed by a 2009 Volvo V70. This is our new out fit as we recently went back to caravnning after 4 years with a motorhome.

Just parted with the 2012 Lunar Clubman after 7 years, 37k miles and 846 nights, found it comfortable, towed well and the layout suited us but out of warranty and bills started with more to come.

Replaced it with a Hobby Excellent 540FU chosen at the Dusseldorf show but supplied by a first class dealer in the UK. 3 nights use so far and a 3 month trip planned very soon. Towcar:  a Mercedes E220CDI Estate that is a fine towcar with huge carrying capacity but an absolute pain on car parks.

do like, but we still do what i call some rough camping with the GKIDS and the thought of all them wet/sandy bottoms on all that nice upholstery ummm!!! , i think i would have to buy a new tow car as well, with a weight of 1.7 kg it is a tad heavy for my Sorento, that merc must be nearly as long as TW MH laughing, won £131 on lottery last week, now if that had just had 3 zero's after it i might have been tempted. Enjoy

Ruf

its only 1500kg and while it might not be the ideal layout for the kids upholstery isn't a problem, we spent last week covering it for our sandy bottomswink

just looked at movie on youtube, actually the layout, although more luxurious than my coachman, is pretty much the same, except when there are just the 2 of us we make front lounge into double bed and live in rear lounge/awning, single bunk over rear 3/4 bed (GKIDS), has nice folding door so we can shut them in, bathroom & kitchen in same place, we too have a nice big shower with wrap around door, never used it, except for storage. Like the way the table doubles up as bed. 1500kg is a tad lighter than coachman, model i looked at must have been super delux or whatever as it showed 1705 KG. Did i hear correctlly 10ltr onboard water tank ? does not seem to be a lot, my aqua roll 40 ltrs. Off for our 3 month tour next Tuesday, cant stand any more Brexit.

2015 Bailey Barcelona and 2015 VW Touareg Escape - both from new - absolutely no faults with the VW and only a few minor 'warranty issues' with the van so we are well pleased with our choice.  Was thinking of changing the van this year but don't like what Baileys have done with the inside of the U4 and none of the other manufacturers have anything which appeals very much, so think we will stick with what we have for now. Extremely pleased with the Treg as a towcar - every bit as good if not better than previous Discos and its performance off-road is just as awesomesmile

My Treg was a mark 1 and a total disaster! I know VW have done something about it now but I couldn’t bring myself to buy another one- the memories are still too painful! Absolute nail of a car!!
