I was at our local garden club this week, listening to a talk about seed growing, nice to think of warmer weather and growing your own. But the talk also turned to snowdrops. I learnt something new, not far from us James Allen, known as the Snowdrop King was the first person to develop new breeds from wild snowdrops and there's a snowdrop festival on soon in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, where he used to live.
If I can't get to that I might manage a local National Garden Scheme visit to see some snowdrops. We've planted some more in our garden this year so maybe one day we'll have more than just a few clumps. Anyone off for a snowdrop walk this month?
