I can't see the original sticky so will start a new thread.  Saw nearly 30,000 knot on Breydon Water yesterday.  Great weekend at Minsmere, Otter, Kingfishers, Bitterns, lots of Marsh Harriers

Some very strange oystercatcher behaviour seen today 🤔.

We’ve been to Holkham,  walked through the woods and the dunes this morning, then moved on to the hall after lunch.

There were at least 50 oystercatchers strolling about on the beautiful manicured lawns in front of the building, completely oblivious to the passing cyclists, dog walkers etc...

Back at Fakenham Racecourse, and our scenic “pitch”, and there are 2 oystercatchers strutting their stuff on the roof of the Grandstand.

I’ve taken a couple of phone photos, but they are rubbish so won’t post them.

Turnstones have certainly changed their habits in recent years, maybe oystercatchers are doing similar...🤔

I remember once having to wait whilst an Oystercatcher decided to finish eating whatever it was that they had dug up before I was able to play my next shot on a golf course in Scotland. It should have waited for me to play as I'm sure I would have dug up a fair bit of ground for it to mooch in.smile Happily no longer play the game.

Still no sign of swallows or Fly catcher. It is unseasonably cold and we had snow on Friday last. Native blackbirds however are feeding first brood.
