In 2009, Ginnie and I landed at the end of Feb for a stay until early November.
My sister in Kent said that summer was forecast to be a "scorcher".
It got to 27 degrees C / 81 degrees F one day in June from memory and then coasted for a month around the low 70s F / 20 C. Not my idea of a scorcher!
The punters in the Met bureau sure got it wrong that year.
I"ve read that Britain can look forward to warmer summers over the next 25 years, so how is this year's summer forecast going to shape up?
Anyone brave enough to stick their neck out?
