Most of the Clematis are forming their flower buds now , could be a good year.

I’ve only got a couple. I’m very much liking the Armandii I planted late last year. It’s called ‘Enham Star’ and although only small at this stage, the flowers/effect (a month or so ago) was fabulous, scented too.

Ha..... I can beat your 14 hosta, we have sixteen different ones in at the moment. I purchased latest one last week at a farm shop near Helmsley. The florist there specialised in very unusual foliage plants and some more unusual garden plants. I spotted a Montana, but unlike anything I have seen before. It is pale pink, but flecked with stripes, and has double flowers. Only gets to three metres as well so not as overwhelming as some Montana’s can be. I can’t recall name at moment, but will post it when home from Mums.

Nelly Moser was Dad’s favourite, one I like as well.😁

Yes fabulous scent but can be a little invasive.

That's interesting please post the name. I had to get rid of my Montana to make way for a green house , very invasive but had a lovely  show of flowers.

Great, reliable Clematis, not your usual one but it never misses a beat, it starts flowering around the beginning of June & just keeps giving. I’d be surprised if anyone knows or grows one, they are not widely known-

Sorry I forgot to post this hosta, it’s a Clematis Montana Marjorie. Hoping image works below.

Hurrah, it worked. Small flowers, quite unusual, reaches around 4 metres I think, so not a bully like most Montana’s.

Is it possibly a Vitacelli Rocky, or something like that?

We have a Cirrhosa Freckles, it flowers from late Autumn through to Spring, grows quickly, lovely spotty drooping flowers. It on a South wall of house, so gets some Winter warmth from brickwork, buts is absolutely thriving.....I cut it back with shears
