I've been waiting for the water to warm up a little at my local fishery. I can't wait to cast the first rig of the new year. My local holds , Tench , Bream , Roach and Perch so theres plenty to go for, I catch on all types of bait including Maggots, Bread, Worm, Paste, Castor,Corn, and many more . I've been using a pole for the last 2 seasons but I really have'nt mastered it as yet.

Whats your favourite water ? what does it hold ? what fish are there? and what baits do you use? Oh and whats your best catch and what method do you use ?

Fishing since allowed after Lockdown has really taken of at the two venues I use . Only had one blank day, usually had weights between 4lb to 30lb.

Fields end water is worth a visit for some arm aching action, the fish in the pool lake really know how to fight. An affiliated site , adults only.

Not a fisherman myself but know the site and it's very nice. There is also a CL attached to it and have stayed on this several times over the years. as it's handy for the Ouse washes. CL is on grass, last time we were there anyway.

I know the shop have a bigger stock of fishing gear and bait than everyday vittels.smile

HH. We stayed on a small fishery camp site on our way north recently, Fields Farm in Cheshire. Nice lakes and lots of wild life.

OH is busy with his club just now taking licence bookings for the start of the season. smile

When out with Grandson yesterday to same venue, wind spoiled and cooled the water . So unfortunately not too good. But that's fishing undecided
