Dog sitter/day care Henley on Thames

Not sure that this is the best place for this question, but I'll start here. We are thinking of having a week at the Henley on Thames site in July, to let the kids visit legoland. We will have our dog with us on holiday but have heard the kennels at legoland are a bit grim. Our next option is to find a local dog sitter or doggy day care who will look after our pooch for the day. Has anyone done this before or anyone living locally make a recommendation?

coolHi Scott, we live in Maidenhead which is about 5 miles from Henley, we use Linden Kennels which is at Burchetts Green, which is on your way through to Leggo Land at Windsor. I am sure they do day care, they are beautifully clean and have a fenced paddock for the dogs to have a free run. Their Tel. No. 01628822087. I hope this is of some help to you. I just want to add that I have no connection in any way to the kennels other than a satisfied customer.

Scott - another alternative which we used when our old boy George was unable to walk far, is to put a notice in the information room asking if anyone would be willing to look after your dog for a day in return for you doing them a similar favour another day. There are likely to be so many dog owners on site that you might just get lucky and save yourself kennel fees!

Good idea!

Personally, I would be more than happy to look after someone's dog for a day and no return of favour required.
