Our Whippets.

Over the years the sites and places have changed due to the different dogs that have made up our family. We stayed many times on Warwick and Uttoxeter Racecourse sites and enjoyed letting our dogs run free in the middle of the course.  But that all changed when we had two whippets,  as you know whippets are sight hounds and will chase most things that move,  so now it's only sites with fenced and secure dog areas,  the bigger the better,   because to see the two of them playing and running at speed makes our holiday.

Beaches are a no go for one of our's off the lead. I have tried most things with her, like training classes and long lead and she is great until something distracts her, like other dogs or piggens feeding on the ground and then all the training goes out of the window,   we're as the other one never leaves my ankles,  they are like chalk and cheese.

Merrose Farm has a good sized enclosed field area, similar to Hillhead.

Our latest arrival is so tiny I suspect she could get through very small gaps so she's on a long lead most of the time.

When our son's whippet saw her I think he thought she was an unusual breed of rabbit, so we couldn't let them off together! 🐰

Whippets are like that, Brue !! I think that the technical name for them is " Thick " ( as in two short planks  !!)

And no, I'm not being unkind -- my nephew has one and it is truly the maddest mutt I've ever come across, honest  !
