just as they have in our hospitals here supplied to coolers strait of the general water supply ,then no need for keeping a stock of bottles and the supply chain to keep the sites offices stocked and available during office hours, or a re usable bottle off the other outlets from the same supply at service points

Posted on 12/02/2020 19:19 by WherenextThe biggest eco friendly action that could be taken would be to stop touring, and sell the gas guzzling vehicle but somehow I don't think that's quite what you're looking for Ro.

Disagree as stay-cation is the most eco friendly thing you can do for holidays. With low cost flights from about £20 you have the option of monumental increase in your carbon footprint or a dirty diesel trip.
As far as promoting ideas then I think the formaldehyde issue must be addressed.
For the club then a professional assessment of how green touring is compared to alternative leisure options would promote the hobby in a very positive way. We are a low carbon, rural industry promoting, low environmental impact, local produce consuming bunch of eco warriors!

Posted on 14/02/2020 20:51 by mickysfApologies but I don't understand. I'm not sure what is being advocated or if a response/clarification is required.

Posted on 14/02/2020 23:06 by JVB66Why have a water supply in the offfice as suggested ?,when it would only be "cooled" water from the site supply useing electricity to work the unit?

Two of the most Eco damaging practices in our world today. Plastic pollution and carbon impact. So......
- Ban/removing single use plastic.
- Solar energy could do the treatment.
It can be done, it would set the example and show a very real commitment to Eco 'friendliness'.
