We are putting together some advice on our website for eco-friendly touring and would like to share top tips from our members.

I decided limiting wattage best. Folks can use it for what they want then, but personally, it isn’t something we have ever done.

I don't heat awnings I heat the people in them. I think as long as there are people in them it is not a waste or inefficient.

Is that not like having the air/con or heater on in the car with the windows open .... 🤔

Not at all. The awning is not open to the air like having your windows open. It would be wasteful if indeed you had the awning door open I'll agree.

Also most people use radiant heaters in awnings which do not heat the surrounding air so much, if at all, but will heat a person quite nicely.

I thought they were called microwaves! wink

On that subject is it more eco friendly to cook with a microwave or should a tip be... ditch the microwave and use conventional cooking methods using gas?
