Irrelevant, David. One can drive illegally or transport the vehicle on a trailer. Neither will prevent the examiner carrying out the MOT and issuing a pass if warranted. The MOT examiner is not there to police the insurance laws.

Very relevant drive off the ferry or out of the tunnel without insurance is an offense. A fact well known by those who actually spend periods abroad but return to ,to the Uk annually for just such a purpose..

That’s definitely correct but is totally irrelevant in terms of the hypothesis of invalidating an MOT. I think you're branching off into a side street here.๐Ÿ˜ง

How does one drive on UK roads to an mot test station in order to get an MOT test done without valid insurance?

Posted on 25/11/2020 22:47

As in most things there are exceptions.  You must be driving directly to a pre booked MOT test and your cover will remain valid.

I’m one of the likers, the reason being it is a fact in Law. Folk get enough fake news & anyone who gives out facts in Law deserve to be supported. Btw- you don’t need to tug a caravan around Europe to research British Law๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

Not rude at all David, but in any case do any of us, including yourself know anything about this sort of lifestyle?

We can all like posts without experiences (I think you once wrote that yourself about club sites) and indeed aspire to such a lifestyle without that experience?

I admire them personally.
