Dropped our caravan back in to storage yesterday. Making our way back to the exit barrier I sat behind a club mini tractor and trailer cursing at 9mph according to my cars speedo surprised

Moderator Edit:

This post isn't about mini tractors; it's about speed limits on site so it's been moved here and the title has been amended to better reflect the topic of the thread.

I'm sitting here on a club site at the minute and I have yet to see one car going at walking pace. The rule is futile. If the 5mph signs around the site don't jog a drivers memory the no words from the warden will sink in either. The numerous posts over time on this subject only provides a repeated conversation. Nobody from HQ seems to care either. A few speed humps here and there do absolutely nothing.

There is a speed hump just beyond where we are pitched (not severe)and most vehicles have to brake before passing over and caravans in tow are normally it seems forgotten about with the noise coming from the interiors when they landsurprised

In a MH the speed humps certainly slow me up Harry.  However, I don't think that anyone can argue that the accidents caused by speeding on sites are incredibly low or non existent; although I'm sure some will try.  I think more problems are caused by unsupervised kids.

Just to make it a bit clearer. Walking pace is a figure of speech when relating to controlling a vehicle at a slow safe speed. 5mph signs are what they are, a visible instruction. I never said one was the same as the other. Hope that saves any further need for searches on Google. Let's keep to the main point of the post. Safety and the speed limit.
