O.K.----What is the arrival time?

I book and it asks me --What Time? I tick a box saying 12.00 to2.00 and I know it is 1.00pm earliest. We have no traffic and get near at 12.30. Wait in lay bye and arrive just after 1.00pm. I notice many units finishing setting awnings up etc. Hey Ho. BUT I spend the next 5 days watching people arrive as early as 11.00am and be allowed straight on.

This happened over New Year at White Water site near Stockton. Will the Club explain is it Wardens discretion, is it totally ignored, are they happy with a rule that may as well be removed.

Totally confused!

Our Tesco was 24hrs but no longer is, they stopped it many years ago!frown

Knowing this and despite wishing they still did open 24hrs a day, I don't expect any folk repeatedly and regularly turn up now in the out of hours times and really expect to be let in? I doubt it!wink

There is no "strange attitude" here at all its just a pointer at the selfish minority that think rules dont apply to them and they can come and go whenever they like.So lets keep it in perspective.

Oh and as regards business my locol tesco says i cant go in and buy anything until the stated opening time and they seem to have stayed in business. Strange that.

Good post V9.

What people forget is that we are caravanners on holiday, we are chilled out, relaxed and don't need to count every minute in the day unless we are totally neurotic.

Therefore we can be extremely flexible in our journey to site so enabling us to arrive anytime after the " no arrivals before " time for any particular site. Even into late afternoon. -----We have booked, so we will be able to pitch up in a leisurely fashion taking our time and chilling.

Cheers.........................K

Arrival times are probably more pertinent for short stays. If staying for a couple of weeks, an hour has little relevance. If it is a two day stopover, it is more relevant.

However, if the reason folk are arriving at 12 is to have more choice of pitch location, you are likely to be more concerned about this on a longer stay.

Probably right Cyber but most of my stays are Fri/Sat stays but i know and accept that it does not give me the right to push the envelope. One night or twenty one nights it makes no difference as i see it.As K says its a steady drive there and a nice leisurely set up.

And of course, if that hour or so is important a slightly later departure may be granted but it's dependant on site specific circumstances as described in those rules we must all adhere to.

An interesting take on how you see CC sites as being run........

Personally, I find them more relaxed than you do.
