PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

It would be nice, given there are obviously issues with the web site, if when mods removed a post, they added by moderator. At least then we would know it was intentional, not yet another quirk of this very quirky system.

Maybe they should put the comment 'removed by censor' when deleting content on this thread.

Yes, what was wrong with me stating that 'likes' were disappearing and reappearing? I was liking posts but my likes (and others) would vanish then reappear on the posts. I thought the IT people would be interested in that as it appeared to be a hiccup in the system. Pah!😖

When I logged in a few minutes ago I could read Deleted User comments, then I tried refresh and they vanished, something is out of sync.

Yes, I found the same thing - annoying, yes, but somewhat illuminating to be able to see exactly what was Deleted User ! wink

Steve

Given that moderators only remove posts that they feel go against the T&C's of the forum to see "Content has been Removed" means just that and should require no further explanation. Sometimes posts made to try and help the situation are Deleted User because what they refer to, or quote,  removed posts and the comment is no longer relevant. People are at liberty to delete their own posts within the edit window and they are also free to add a comment  "Deleted User by poster".  Some already do this. However the fact remains that moderators and admin are having to remove far too many unnecessary posts recently and I would suggest if people wish this situation to improve they should be more careful what they post and only post if adding to the discussion rather than attacking other what other people have said.

My Deleted User post on the previous page was adding to the discussion, David, by reporting a fault.

If you Deleted User it, I’d be delighted to know why.

I know we can't question moderation David. However, TW's post which occasionally shows and then is content removed read :-

'Likes' keep coming and going as well.

That hardly seemed  likely to have been Deleted User, as it was providing useful snagging information. Hence my suggestion.

I've not tried to make a booking recently, hopefully that side of the site is working better. Since the Maintenance CT is certainly not. Issues include.

last post on discussions not updating.

edits not working and then apppearing

latest activity not showing latest thread.

comments on threads disappearing, then reappearing.

likes sometimes showing, sometimes not.

closed threads reopening if you refresh the page.

There may well be more.☚ī¸

On the plus side, speed isn't bad at the moment.😀
