PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

There are a lot of old threads appearing randomly at the moment, some from up to four years ago.

Makes it a bit more interesting though as some of them don't even mention you know what.smile

Minding my own business browsing CT last evening and up pops essential maintenance sign - AGAIN

How much essential maintenance has happened over the lockdown? Does anyone see any difference? Improvement or otherwise in use 😉

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a banner type thing running along the top or bottom of the page, which once read could be closed, giving advanced details of closures?? That way wherever you enter the site, and unlike banks etc, there are various entry and exit points, you'd know.

I worked in local government and wouldn't say they had top IT but even they gave advance notice of unavailibility due to maintenance - sometimes a week in advance 😱. Similarly my bank will say something about disruption to their service giving dates and approximate timings!

How many times has this been suggested and gone unheeded?

Agree Bakers. That darn accept cookies banner pops up every time I log in and now has to be actively clicked on, instead of just ignored.

If they can do that, surely they could put up a maintenance tonight one. Where I worked there used to be an on screen warning in advance. Then if you were still working further warnings to save your work and exit just prior to it going down. Unless they do that here, as the site has been going down about 9pm, you might be making a booking. Just as well they don't take deposits. I hate it when it hangs up part way through a credit card transaction.☹️

I was beginning to think CT had been closed down at last but it seems it was just another IT update disaster. I have not been able to access this site since Saturday but maybe some of you did not keep getting the "server error" message as I did yesterday and this morning.
