Towing with Hybrid/electric cars

I know that the Mitsubishi Phev can tow, but what other hybrid/electric vehicles are out there which would comfortably tow a mid-range caravan weighing around 1,500 kgs?

I have looked at some forums and it seems to suggest that towing with a hybrid is not to be recommended.

I have had many different two cars / 4x4 over the years both petrol & diesel. My current car is a Mercedes C350e salon which I have to say is the most comfortable and stable tow car so far thanks to its self-levelling suspension. It tows our 1500kg van without any issues even on battery but the range is limited in this mode with the engine starting as necessary, for sure it’s more frequent stops for fuel but this is due to the smaller tank to accommodate the battery. From a towing economy point of view it matches my previous Audi A5 diesel and actually turns out cheaper due to the lower cost of petrol. Please note, if you buy the estate version make sure it was originally spec’d with 18inch wheels.

Made me smile too. Guess it’s not in the UK.   Made me wonder how UK’s breakdown services will plan for a future without diesel.

Ah, what constitutes good public transport?! On strike, late, over crowded, goes where and when the operators and politicians decide i should go, uncomfortable, surrounded by people i dont want to be surrounded by, cant take my dog, limited space for sitting, shopping bags, no music choice, no climate control. In other words i want my choice to go when and where i want to go with whom i choose - or not. Stops every 50 yards to pick up every unwashed, shouting, drinking Tom, Dick and Harriot and their screaming brats. I am not cattle to be herded around on the whim of someone else who thinks they know better than me what i want. Yes i am ranting because i am fed up of being told when or where i cannot drive my car that i pay a hell of a lot of money to drive. If you want to use public transport that is YOUR choice, it aint mine and never will be.

Oh dear Flat earth. Sorry flat coat. So you will not be getting a free bus pass then. Buses are great fun. Did you never sing the wheels on the bus go round and round when you were a little boy?

They’ll stick their fingers in their ears & go-lalalalala, then panic🙄🙄. There are a lot of folk & companies convinced the Govt will change their mind about all electric by 2040.

A pity to read fake information but there you go. Looks like hybrid tow cars have been a step forward.

Interesting to read recent news about embedding charging into the roads I think we're only  in the starting blocks for alternative fuels and vehicles. smile
