Hi all, just joined and will be picking up a 2016 Auto-trail Apache 634 Hi Line on Saturday. My first Motorhome!

Previous owner says it is possible that there will be no owner's manual for this (I am not even sure if there are owners manuals for Motorhomes!) and therefore wondered if an idiots guide to this type of vehicle and its accessories might be on-line.  In particular it would be nice to know how the basics like water, gas, lights, heating etc. all work.

If anyone knows where to go searching, or if anyone has theirs saved as a document, maybe I could ask for you to email me.  Not sure what the etiquette is on these matters.

I would be very appreciative - and it will give me some reference material when we settle into our first pitch on day 1 and the wife wants her first mug of tea.

Really looking forward to meeting some of you really soon.

Hi and welcome.

Motorhomes have two handbooks - one for the base vehicle and one for the conversion. Try the AutoTrail website and see if you can download a copy of the AT handbook.

PS If you access your Profile, you can allocate a user name of your choice rather than being one of the numerous 'ScreenName abc123' folk.👍🏻

If there is not an owners manual for the conversion part? how did the  annual habitation service get entered?

contact Auto Trail they will possibly still have them or advise the service record?

Hi Alan.  Just a quick post to say welcome to Club Together.  Best of luck with it all - there are plenty of categories here for questions, and I'm sure folk will be very willing to help.  Do let us know how you get on with the Motorhome.

I suggest you join Motorhome Fun  (the Fun).  45k plus members world wide with a wealth of knowledge and all willing to share and help.  The best £15 you will ever spend.  Oh, and the forums are only lightly moderated with humour and banter allowed, even supported and encouraged.  It all adds to the " FUN ".

I’ve looked at 'Fun' many times over the years and each time I've failed to find anything to make it live up to its name or to inspire me to part with £15.

It’s the only forum I’ve ever come across that wants money from people in order to allow them to post. The forum gains from those very posts but expects people to pay to further its aims and popularity. With 45K members, the forum owner's got it made!

Like you I was very sceptical over many visits and some months prior to joining.  Eventually I gave it a try and my £15.  Doing so opened access to the members only sections and discounts and those alone have saved me over £200.

Admittedly because of the vast amount of information it contains it is a complex site and it does take time to get used to but it's well worth the effort.

Jim (the ring leader) owner may make a good living from it but he also earns it and good luck to him.  It does not alter the fact that it is a top source of information and fun.

As I said, I've seen nothing to persuade me to part with £15 when there are plenty of other forums out there who let me join and post free of charge and I’m not desperate for discounts 🤷🏻‍♂️
