Hi all,

I'm a newbie to Motorhoming, so still finding my feet (or wheels).  My motorhome has been parked under a tree at a site over winter and is now in dire need of a good wash and wax.  Unfortunately I don't have the facilities to do this myself so I did a google search for a cleaning service but couldn't find one for my area (Hertfordshire), does anyone out there know of a good cleaning service which I could contact please?

Try tourershine, not cheap but a first class service

Certainly isn't cheap! But then who can put a price on something you can't do yourself? 😂.

Be just my luck within minutes of it looking lovely it's targeted by large birds or we'd have red rain or something similar.

I booked the Lunar in and was going to take it to them.  It’s not just a valet but a really deep clean including restoring the paintwork etc.  We were talking roughly £150 which included a number of blemishes and two deep window scratches.  I thought it was value for money.  I sold the van prior to the work being carried out.

Thanks Lornalou1, I think I need a little more than ladders and cloths at this point  ;o)

Thanks Oneputt, that looks like a good service (if a little costly).

Sorry ABM - there certainly seems to be a gap in the market for the more basic wash/wax service.

Bakers2: very true, but at least if it's waxed the naughty birds can't do too much damage

My neighbour supplies the buckets, sponges and brushes, cleaning products, wax and fibre cloths along with bacon butties and a mug of tea and pays the window cleaner to do it.

An update on this chat - this year I sourced a good motorhome cleaner: https://www.essexcaravancleaning.com/

He did a great job cleaning and waxing my motorhome - on site in Herts.  He had to charge a little extra to come over from Essex but for the job he did, it was worth it.  My motorhome was sparkling afterward and for a 2004 reg that's no mean feat!
