greetings, I’m new here and at the very beginning of my touring journey, I know which make and model I want but need to make a speedy decision about buying new or used. I have two used options being 2016 and 2018 available now or do I buy a reduced 2019 model or the brand new 2020 model.

committed to buying a Buccaneer Cruiser

thanks in anticipation

some of the continental single axles are nearly as spacious as UK twin axles.  perhaps you should consider a fifth wheeler

What have you people done to me??

my better half has had his head turned by German caravans and in particular the Hobby. I know people have said they are prized by travellers and as such pose a security risk but so does the Buccaneer range.

the whiteboard is out, a chart and leader board have been created....the search continues.

I would love a 5th wheeler, sadly the steps inside would make it a non starter. I have fond memories of a Ford P100 pickup truck.

If you can get to the NEC in October the Hobby stand will have a representative  selection  of available models and dealers from around the country. I bought my (smaller) Hobby there after identifying the model at the Dusseldorf show and now towards the end of our first year and over 4 months use could not be happier with it or the outstanding service  we have had from our dealer Ray North of Mann Motors.

We will definitely be off to the NEC to look at many caravans🥴

Maybe consider an inspection if you buy used and are not sure about everything. The lists there will give some indication as to what to look at yourselves as you search various brands. This is a link to CAMC advice if you haven’t already looked at the top of the page tabs. Good luck and happy searching.

You need a drive down the A6 to Ambergate Caravans, Ripley Road (A610)

Has the coin been flipped? It could be the decider 😄

It needs to be a fifteen sided coin right now, we’ve gone right back to the drawing board and started the process all over again.

Thanks for the link, we have been researching caravans for almost twelve months, other half is an engineer and we are both have perfectionist tendencies so rest assured inspections will be thorough.
