Hi we are new to the club and looking forward to visiting many club sites, We would like to read people’s views on Windbreaks as we have a dog we would like to use one.

Regards Mike.

Not bothered about others using windbreaks on their pitch

Hi Mike and welcome to the club.  You can buy custom made windbreak type fences made specially for dogs which I have seen at big shows.  I thought about one for mine but they weren't high enough to keep my problem dog in.  So I use the tethering method.  Some people do go OTT with windbreaks and claim a lot of space but they are useful things.  Happy Camping!

As long as they (windbreaks) are inside that designated part of your pitch and not in the fire breaks then no problem. As already mentioned, even then dogs must be tethered at all times and not allowed to foul or urinate on the pitch/grass.

Geez, anyone would think He’d asked if anyone objected to Him releasing Rattlesnakes☹️

We always carry one in the summer in case our neighbour has a dog, our dog can, on occasions, bark at  others  surprised we don't have to use it very often but just gives us peace of mind.

We carry one. It used to go up often, now less so. Was used to great effect at great Yarmouth to stop the very chilly breeze 😉. Without it we were lobster red on one side and frozen ice on the other 😂

Wind breaks are fine, we use one sometimes to enclose our wind out canopy, but some inconsiderate people use them as a land grab on grass pitches and on some hardstands to  "extend" the compounds of their fortress surprised
