I went to have a look on the Winfields site.  I signed up to 'receive offers etc' and they sent me a 5% discount code via email.  I added an item to the basket, got sidetracked, kept the page open and went to another page to do something else.  Around an hour later, I got another email from them titled..  "Would 10% off help David?"   Just the heads up not to jump I straight away....

I think I'll leave it another hour...๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ???

Thanks for that David.  Interesting - I'm going to our local Winfields tomorrow so I might just try that.

I don't know if it's just online sales Jill, but I think if you spend more than £40 I think it's free postage.  Might be worth going to have a look and then buying on line, ifcyou are not in a hurry.  Or..... tell them you can get money off on line and ask them they can match??

Best of luck..

Having Googled them I've found the other stores .... I'm local to the original store  & remember when they moved next door from where they started from.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  They originally used to just trade in seconds foot wear.

I think that’s a good strategy for many online sellers. Make sure you put some stuff you want in your basket and go as far as adding your email address before aborting the purchase. You could well be rewarded with a discount offer. Waiting it out sometimes brings an even better discount offer. It also works for the likes of Sky, AA etc. Give them notice that you will not renewing the contract and they’ll automatically offer you a discount.

Tip for anyone who uses Virgin Media for Broadband etc.... Go straight to disconnection option. Not only will they bend over backwards and sideways to keep you, offer you some good discounts, you will get someone who isn’t based overseas and doesn’t have a difficult to pick up accent, merely reading from a script.
