Jiffy the motorhome

What a great site. Very easy to find. Sign for the site just left after the care home. Follow the lane to the end and turn right straight onto the site. Ask for your pitch number when you book up, as you will have to go back down the lane to ask. Beautiful site with brilliant views over the fields. Three hardstanding and two grass. Three electric points with a bin. Take a gas kettle or pan as electric kettles are too powerful and blow the fuse. Everything else is ok, including heating and microwaves. Great recycling next to the water and waste. Fabulous variety of shops including three Coops, an Iceland and a Tesco Express. There is also a Sainsbury store and garage at the south roundabout. Bus stop at the end of the lane, S4 goes either to Banbury or Oxford hourly, or the 7&500 both go to Oxford more regularly. Bus drivers very helpful. Buses are the best option, as all the car parks in this area have height restrictions at the entrances. Canal just a short walk away. We went towards Thrupp the 1st night where there is a beautiful lock and Annie's Tea room. 2nd day we went the same way, but a lot further along, great scenery. 3rd day we headed along the canal towards Oxford turning round at Wolvercote. The canal walks were great, paths were ok for walking, cycling and dogs, but not wheelchairs. There are only seats and bins at the locks, so it may be a good idea to check a canal map in advance if you're not too good on your feet! We will buy an ordinance survey map next time we visit the site as there are loads of pathway signs leading off the canals.4th day we spent in Banbury, visiting a reservoir and Spiceball park; more canal walking and shopping in the market and local shops. Went to Oxford twice on the bus; stunning city, beautiful parks and walks along theThames. Loads of pathways over the fields on the moors from the site. Great fun watching the squirrels on the site! But unfortunately too late in the season to see any deer or foxes. Overall a brilliant site for a motorhome as everything you need is right on your doorstep, we will definitely return.
