Our experience - on arrival a friend of the owner took the payment - and in the front window of the property was a large board with everyone's full name written on it next to a pitch number for all to see (a data protection issue her I think!) The site is very small indeed and very tight for maneuverability. The pitch was very uneven, mostly grass with some remnants of hard standing. It was basically the owners back yard. The road next to the property could be mistaken for something that resembles Brands Hatch crossed with the M25 - it was very bust and fast throughout the day, evening, night and early hours.
When the time cam to leave we struggled to get out of the grounds as the owners friend had parked their car almost in the middle of a narrow driveway. Struggled to get MH out - got a huge scratch on the ns window whilst undertaking a number of moves to get by the car - all of this whilst the car owner was standing at the window watching and not have the decency to move the vehicle. Took photos - to consider next steps.
Will most definitely not be staying again. No owners sighted at all -
Very handy for your visit to Edinburgh
This gently sloping, small site is very well placed for visiting Edinburgh. The park and ride is just 2 minutes away and the fare to the city centre was just £1.80 when we visited in August 2021. The adjacent road is quite busy during the day with heavy traffic passing from about 6 in the morning, but it was quieter at night. there is a selection of eateries close by as well as a number of shops and supermarkets. Mr Ferguson has a wonderful sense of humour and made us welcome. We would recommend the site if you are going to be out and about doing the tourist thing all day and just using it as a base.
Handy Site
We stopped overnight here on way home from England. Very handy from city bypass. Sloping site .
Lovely restaurant five minutes away called The Steading .
Will use again.
6 vans?
I have to write the site down as it has 6 vans and cars crammed in. There is no excuse these days for this sort of situation being allowed to happen. Speaking to someone on the site who has been there for a couple of weeks they told me that it happened a few times whilst they were there.
Great for visiting Edinburgh
Excellent value at £10 per night, as previous reviewers say only 15 minutes walk to buses (maybe shorter walk if you go north instead of south, and all paved both ways). Busy road but quiet at night and well screened by trees anyway, so you don't hear a lot.
Pubs with food, and supermarkets also only 15 minutes walk. If you like walking then city centre is only 5.5 miles and took me 90 minutes to walk it, but buses are cheap if not.
Excellent value site for Edinburgh
A very neat and well organised site with a bus stop to Edinburgh less than a miles walk away along a busy road with pavement all the way (as long as you cross over at key points). Toilet block very clean and well stocked with both consumables and local area accommodation. At £10 per night with hard standing pitches this was excellent value.

Great for Edinburgh
We used this site to visit the Edinburgh Fringe & Tattoo. Couldn't be easier . There is a Park and Ride, about 5 mins by car, that takes you straight into the city. It cost us £5.60 each way for 3 adults & a child. The owners are lovely and we couldn't fault the ease of arrival. Great location.
Very Good CL
Very handy CL for Edinburgh. Close to Park and Ride (be careful as some buses don't actually go into Park and Ride on return - need to get off in retail park). Close to supermarkets. Owner friendly (call at the house first as it clearly says in the handbook). Toilet clean. Very good value. Road is a little noisy at times especially around 'rush hours' but does quieten off in evenings. Would definitely use again.

Scotland holidays 2017
just spent three nights on this small c.l. ,on our way around Scotland which was beside a very busy and noisy main road, the toilets were in pristine condition, the pitches were level and the grass was cut short, there is a massive shopping complex two miles to the right of the site, access to Edinburgh and all the tourist attractions was easy we went to The Royal Yacht , and the Falkirk wheel which was easy to get to, Mr.& Mrs Ferguson are a lovely couple and are very helpful, if We ever came back to Edinburgh we would stay here again .only gripe about this site is that you only have a 10amp hook up which if you were there in a cold spell would be quite unpleasant !!
Nearby road, very noisy
Upon arrival, pitches were very soggy. Disappointed, as this CL site is located right by the roadside, therefore from 6 o'clock a.m. it's impossible to get further rest (very very noisy). This is a 10 amp electric site, be aware that having your TV, Kettle and lights will trigger it off. Only have one thing on at a time. We were unfortunate as the weather did not help neither, as extremely windy and wet. There are no showers on site, just a toilet at entrance of site. Good access to nearby Edinburgh and 24 hour Asda (not too far).
