We have stayed on this site on numerous occasions as we love its vicinity to London. Newbury Park tube station is a 20 minute walk away and is ideal for getting into the city. Last time we stayed there we arrived at the tube station only to discover there was industrial action on the tube from Leytonstone round "the loop" - but a 66 bus opposite the tube station took us to Leytonstone from whence we caught the central line into the city. The return bus stopped at the end of Alborough Road North which only meant a 10 minute walk back to site. We normally pitch on the field, but on our last visit, due to the severe frosts, we were advised to pitch on the hardstanding - especially since we were in our motorhome. We also decided to go out on our bikes on the Saturday, turning right out of the site we cycled to Hainault Forest, and cycled a very muddy track through the trees. The whole ride was just short of 11 miles. Although there are no facilities other than the usual water/waste areas etc we cannot fault this site, and Mrs Rudge and her family are very friendly and accommodating.
