Ease of arrival/welcome

A great basic CL.

Spent 4 nights here. A simple, basic CL with water, chemical disposal, and bins at the end of the drive. The lady who owns the site is very warm and welcoming. It's an honesty box for payment, but she does pop down in the evenings to welcome people. The site is an undulating but well kept patch of ground with huge mature oak trees between some arable fields. When I was there, the harvest was in full swing but didn't impose at all, in fact it was quite interesting! Lots of room for 5 vans, and an informal system of picking the best, flattest bit of ground. 5 mins to Cawdor, a really nice village with the famous Castle and some great walking along the riverside. 2 mins to Howford Bridge with an excellent riverside walk into Nairn, or Cawdor. The stunning beaches of Nairn are around 10 mins away. Probably the best beaches in the north of Scotland. I had a great break at this CL, and I will definitely be back.
