This site is described as 'a 3 acre field', not the case when we were there in May 2013. It was a strip of rough tussocky grass down the side of what may well have been a 3 acre field but the field had been planted and was certainly not for use with a caravan. The best 'spots' on the strip were already taken and two of them had 'permanent' caravans on them, the third one was next to the gate and was occupied when we arrived leaving us, with a average sized caravan, to try to pitch in one of the other gaps between the trees. We managed but could not use our awning because of the trees, luckily it was spring and the trees, large oaks. were still in bud, had they been in full leaf we would not have been able to stay as there would not have been room. We like the cheap, basic 'no frills' CL sites, but we expect the descriptions of the sites to be accurate. We know that we are not paying very much for the site but we have usually travelled quite a distance to get there, we don't expect to have to find an alternative at the last minute because the site owners are 'economical with the truth'.
