Great CL

Delilah the motor home plus two stayed here for 3 nights in June 2016. This is a lovely well-kept site, set well back from the road so you don’t hear any traffic. When we arrived the grass had recently been mowed so although it rained our feet didn’t get too wet. The waste and recycling section is screened off near the entrance and there are two water points, one near the field entrance and one across the other side of the field. We used our levelling blocks but it wouldn’t have been too much of a problem without. Tom, the owner, arrived the following morning to welcome us and to collect the £6 per night. He helpfully chatted to us about local places of interest and then left us alone. We cycled everywhere, round the villages the first day and the next day into Tring to visit the Natural History Museum which we thoroughly enjoyed. A Tesco superstore was only a couple of miles down the road. If you like walking the Ridgeway National Trail passes adjacent to the site and Tring Park, with the obelisk and fantastic views is just opposite the site. The only thing to bear in mind for cycling is the hill up to the site from all directions. It didn’t bother us as we have electric bikes. The TV reception was good as was the O2 phone signal. Overall excellent value and a great CL.
