Another superb find....sshhh..Secret !

Just spent 10 nights at this cracking CL ! OK so the weather wasn't the greatest but it would've been the same if we had stayed at home....wet... the site remained dry despite several lousy downpours during our stay. Covid 19 rules 'n regs were very well managed and sorted, it's clear to see that Len (CL owner) was well on top of it all. This is a new CL and it is obvious that Len & Sandra have Invested a huge amount of thought, hard work and money into making this a lovely place to stay and there are more improvements to follow over the "closed season". There is oodles of space on and around each pitch with outdoor seats on the grass banking to sit and catch the Sun and fresh air. Len also has a large field nearby where you can exercise your Dog (and yourselves !). Site not far from Hive Beach (National Trust)at Burton Bradstock, West bay is also a nice place to while away a few hours with Charmouth and Lyme Regis also nearby, there is lots to see in this lovely part of Dorset. Thanks again Len, hope to see you next year (Covid permitting !)

A super CL

We have just stayed at the Barn House Retreat for ten nights. It is a lovely little CL nestled just off the main road, but is very quiet with very little road noise. The welcome from Len, and Jess, was good, he even pointed us in the direction of a couple of his fields where we could run our dog off her lead. Everything was spotless there, even the recycling bins were emptied twice a day and had hand sanitizer present. The information shed was handy to show local places to visit and eat, with up to date menus and prices. A big thank you to Len and family.

Excellent & friendly site

Having just spent 5 nights at this site I cannot recommend it highly enough. The welcome was friendly & efficient, giving me all the information I needed about the site. The pitches were ample in size, level & clean. The facilities at the site were clean & very easily accessible. The owners were helpful beyond what I should have needed, taking delivery of a new battery for me & charging it. Jess, the site dog, was very friendly too & took no notice of the other dogs on site. This site is one I will definitely stay at again, lots more places to visit in the location.

Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming owner.

Len couldn’t be more helpful or knowledgeable about the area. We stayed for 10 nights and highly recommend this lovely CL to stay! The site is beautiful, Well maintained and cared for even thought this is a new site it is clear to see this will always be the case. Located off main road in a valley so it’s peaceful but within easy access 20 - 30 mins to all main locations/ attractions. Good recycling system in a clean barn, easy to fill and empty van. We have a large Motorhome and wanted to stay on the grass pitch but there are hard standing with electrics too. Large and wide Gravel drive to access all pitches . Good dog walking route close by although a few steep wooden steps to access this, So if you have older dogs best to keep them within the camping field. We enjoy Road biking, which was easy to do along the back county lanes, which are mostly single track with a good rage of steep climbs and descents.Ideal location!

Perfect

We stayed at this site for 4 nights , and it was absolutely perfect. The site was so clean and tidy and extremely quiet. We were greeted by the owner Len and his doggie Jess who made us feel very welcome. we Have been to this area before , but this time we took our bikes and we had a lovely bike ride all round the nearby village. We certainly couldn’t recommend this site highly enough. Well done Len and Sandra for all your hard work.

Wonderful site

We had a ten day stay at the site and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Easy access to places of interest with lots to see and do. The site itself has everything you need with the addition of jess the collie dog. Couldn't fault any aspect of the site or our stay. Well done.

Highly recommended

Easy access of the main road, lovely clean and quiet site, owners very nice and couldn't do enough for you , very good for different recycling bins, and normal rubbish, cleaned daily and never smelt even in the heat we've had, stayed for 7 nights ,would have no bother staying longer and would be returning.

Try before you buy newbies

We picked the site as access was very straightforward and enabled us to avoid very narrow lanes. The site is just off the A35, far enough away not to be bothered by the road noise but close enough to make access a cinch. We were welcomed by Len and shown to the hardstanding which was flat and a reasonable size. There is fresh water available from several taps making tank fill up easy. The site has Wifi as well which was a welcome bonus. There is a well organised recycling area which was scrupulously clean. Easy access to waste emptying was nearby. A footpath runs adjacent to the site making a walks to the area very easy. There are a number of great pubs nearby several we tried. Our favourite was the Marquis of Lorn for 2 reasons. We could cycle directly on almost all off-road lanes and the food and beer are excellent. This is a great base for walks and cycles. Len dropped by to check al was well on several occasions.

A weeks perfect stay.

Our last minute booking was dealt with efficiently by Len, and on arrival was greeted by Len and Jess the Collie. As a new CL site, it ticked every box. So much thought (and money) has gone into this site, even down to the smallest detail like flower planters on each pitch. Len and Sandra keep the site spotless, probably one of the best CL's we have stayed at. The location is perfect, only a short distance down a lane from the main A35, but far enough that it is not noisy. Good access to Bridport (The market is a 'must' visit), and West Bay. Leave early to avoid traffic. A footpath from the site allows numerous dog walk options, and Len is happy to advise on the various walks. If you don't need a shower block, you have all the features of a well cared for caravan club site at half the price! Thank you Len and Sandra for a wonderful and relaxing stay. Great site

Such a lovely site and Len is really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Situated just off of the A35 so easy to find and access. Could hear a little hum from the traffic noise but nothing major at all. The site is so clean, tidy and well laid out. It’s in a perfect location to explore the beautiful coastline - Burton Bradstock, West Bay, etc on our bikes and The Crown pub is a short walk and does a lovely Sunday lunch. Bridport town centre is a Only a few miles away and has a good array of shops, takeaways and parking specifically for motorhomes. Thank you Len.
