What a wonderful site - March 2020

Stayed at Barn Owl Meadow for 3 nights this week (9/3/2020) and had a great time. Wonderful site, amazing facilities, excellent customer service and great value at only £20 per night. We used it as a base for exploring the area by bike and on foot and we weren't disappointed. One minor issue that you need to take into account is the positioning of the grey waste drain on each pitch. You will need at least 5 meters of drain piping to reach it. Sadly my drain pipe didn't reach the drain - but luckily I did bring my Waste Master so all was not lost... The washrooms were amazing with great showers and spotlessly clean. There was even piped music!! Will certainly be recommending it to my caravanning friends and hope to return when the weather is a bit warmer..

Barn Owl Meadow Feb 2020

We had looked to stay at Barn Owl meadow, in January but all pitches were booked. so we managed to get a pitch mid Feb and I can see why Barn Owl Meadow is so busy. Lovely clean, peaceful site. The site has a safety barrier with an access code, which gives a feeling of security. The added bonus to us was that each pitch was fully serviced with EHU, drinking water and grey water drainage. With plenty of space on the hard standing for Car, Caravan and Awning and between pitches. We visited the weekend of Storm Denis, the pitches are well drained and you get some shelter from the wind from the hedge behind. The small shop on site stocks items you may have forgotten, ie Shampoo, Toothpaste, Shower Gel, also some Jams, Sauces Salt, Pepper and a freezer full of Pork and Lamb. there are leaflets of things to do in the area. Plus some nice to have's for sale. We use the facilities that come with the van, but the showers looked exceptional and Warm. There is also a Washing up area for those of you who prefer to wash up away from the van. Waste disposal was nice and easy to use, also a dog wash for muddy paws. The dog walk is around the edge of the field in front of the pitches. There are also picnic benches, which would get a lot of use in the summer. The site is well looked after and lovely short grass, even the dog walk was nice and tidy. The TV reception was good, as was the 4G phone signal. The owners of the site are friendly and helpful, We will be visiting again some time in the future.

Full Club Site facilities in a CL Setting! Fantastic.

Stayed 2 nights at Barn Owl Meadow last week whilst on a short break in Suffolk. Remembered seeing the rave reviews in a Club Magazine when it opened, and all the member reviews since, pretty much say it all. We have been CAMC members for 5 years, since purchasing out Motorhome, "Flo", and have stayed on lots of different Club Sites, Affiliated Sites and CLs. Barn Owl Meadow is by some distance, the best CL we have stayed on. Well done Roger and Pauline for all the thought that has gone into designing such a top class site, which has everything you could wish for......peace and quiet, security, location and facilities. Nice welcome on arrival as well, so all that's left is for us to enjoy the lamb shanks, chops and rack of lamb that we took home from Shelley's freezer! We'll be back in better weather, although we did manage to get out walking every day this time and enjoyed Eye and Rickinghall in particular. Chris & Carolyn

Fantastic cl

Only half an hour from home, could be anywhere. Immaculate, peaceful, brilliant facilities, lovely communication from owner. Good dog walk on site. We’ve recently changed from caravan to motorhome and this site was so perfect for us to get used to using the motorhome as access was very good and the layout made it easy. Going to use this site frequently I think for last minute get aways.

4 nights of utter peace.

We came to stay at Barn Owl meadow, exhausted and in need of a good rest, and this was certainly the place to get it. Lovely and clean, peaceful tranquil site, the toilets and shower are modern and an excellent facility. On arrival we were greeted by the owner and given a tour of the facilities, the site has a safety barrier with an access code, which gives a wonderful feeling of security. The added bonus to us was that each pitch was fully serviced with drinking water and grey water drainage, with plenty of space on the hard standing and between pitches. Not far away is Bressingham railway museum and gardens that's really worth a visit. We will certainly be back next year, hopefully for longer than 4 nights. Tina & Don Bartram

Up there with the best of CL's

Well, in our opinion, this lovely CL is up there with the best of them. The site is really well kept, there are 5 hardstanding pitches, and all are fully serviced except for TV. There is a new and very modern service block, having 1 shower room with a hand washbasin, wc, hair dryer, and razor socket, There are plenty of hooks, and a good bathroom stool, & Loo roll is also supplied. There is also 1 accessible shower room with a low hand washbasin, and grab rails, furthermore, there is a 1 separate wc with hand washbasin and hand dryer, There is also an information room that includes essentials for sale and payment by honesty box. Also in the block is a room for dishwashing, with 2 good sized sinks, with basins and drainers, oh yes, washing up liquid is also supplied. There is also delicious meat products from Shelley's Farm Shop, very reasonable prices too. The owners are very friendly and helpful, so, is it worth the £20.00 per night? hell yes, would recommend this gem of a CL to any and everyone.

A Gem of a site

Recently spent 7 nights on this lovely well kept site. Everything went smoothly from the welcome to the day of us leaving. We were blessed with good weather and although near a road/lane it is not busy or noisy. The facilities were first class.. We have been using CLs for some years now and these were the best toilet and shower facilities we have encountered. Dog walk around the perimeter of the field and all pitches were serviced. Someone previously had written in the comments book that this was a "! champagne site at lemonade prices" and I couldn't put it better myself.
