Hidden Gem

What a great site, lovely owner who came to meet us. Fab views, very peaceful, and well sheltered. Very reasonably priced. Absolutely brilliant if you can manage without electric. Will definitely visit again

Perfect CL site for travelling to Cornwall

Lovely and peaceful. Jane was very friendly from booking and checking on myself and my husband during our 2 night stop off. Everything you could need for off grid stay. Close enough to A30 but no traffic noise. A couple of hard standing pitches too with grass pitches as well. Beautiful views and still able to get WiFi and mobile if needed. Will definitely use as stop off again.

Peacefull Cornwall

Stayed on this in July 2022 and had five glorious days. If you like it quiet then this is the place for you. There is grass or hard standing (your choice) with fantastic views of the Cornish hills. A short drive away there are local shops in Roche. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Only negative is the one kilometer drive from the main road to the site is single track road without any real passing places for a caravan. Would i stay here again, yes for sure.

Perfect spot to explore

We stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year 2022. Due to wet weather we needed a hard standing which the site offers - in fact it is a grit base and gets everywhere so take an outside door matt to kick off your wellies. This was a perfect spot for us to visit friends in nearby Lanivet and go to the seaside around Padstow (about 30 minutes away). As the site is bang in the middle of Cornwall access to the south coast is easy as well. The site has a grass area which in the dry months units can be spaced out more. On the hardstanding area we were with two other units which was just about large enough to accommodate us all. We were out all day so not a problem for us. At £7.50 a night it's basic: water tap, chemical disposal point and bins, so if you like all the bells and whistles of a club site this is maybe not for you. We loved it and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. If we are around that area again would definitely stay again

warm welcome

We stayed for a month back in May 2021. The site is very easy to find from the A30, level grass area and now has a hardstanding area near the gateway. Mrs Francis is very friendly and chatty. We have family in the area so it was very convenient for seeing them and getting to the coast for some lovely walks and the other local attractions.

PEACE AND QUIET

We spent 17 days here off grid with 100w solar panel and we had no problems. Not far from A 30 easy access. Friendly and helpful owner. Coop in village, veg shop and excellent butchers. Handy to visit a wide area. Will return if in area.

Beautiful location

This site is just what you need to relax , it has wonderful view's and is very peaceful , we have been here many times and will return as much as we can, TV signal is very good the water pressure excellent, tidy and well kept, it has hard standing if you want or you can park on the grass. it has easy access, amenity's are near, ideal touring site for Cornwall . Mr and Mrs Francis are very welcoming and friendly, we don't want to stay on large campsites with everyone packed in that's not a holiday in my view, this site has everything that we need to have a wonderful holiday.

A lovely, easy access, off-grid, hardstanding (lots of grass too), Cornish site within short commuting range of so many beautiful places inc beaches..

We booked and upon arrival, we extended our stay to 3.5 weeks! What a beautiful holiday we have had here at this quiet site, with constant views of roaming horses and a stunning scenic backdrop of Cornish history. Mrs Francis (the site owner) recommended some stunning locations to visit and indeed we were stunned by the beauty that we have seen. If you want tourist beaches or quiet quaint coves, history or just scenery, it's all in this neighbourhood. Climb a granite rock to see an old disused monastery, walk around a China Clay mine, visit the Eden Project, climb to the top of Roughtor and Brown Willy for panoramic highest views of Bodmin moor. Surf boarding on the N. Atlantic coast or enjoy the maritime history of Charlestown and Poldark filming locations. The fairy pools of St Cuthbert' s cave or the miles of soft sands at Padstow. A disused harbour at Pentewan has become a lovely venue for food and a drink. Bodmin Gaol (Jail) is an eye opener worth seeing. Mevagissy and its iconic harbour. We have had a fantastic holiday here, all thanks to Bawdens. Farm.

super off griding

We have just spent a lovely month at Bawdens Farm. Mr. and Mrs. Francis are very welcoming and friendly. The club location is very easy to access from the A30 and is central for touring Cornwall. The site is level, the grass drains well after rain and it has a new area of hardstandings. O2 phone, mobile data very good and a strong TV signal.
