Great for what it is...
Tucked down beside a river and woods, very peaceful and quiet, it’s nonetheless not more than 30 mins walk from the centre of Durham....
As others have noted, the grass is a bit long, the bins are a short walk away and there is no hookups. There are however some excellent walks, straight off the site as well as great access to Durham. Sainsburys is a 10 minute walk.
Access back onto the main road is a bit steep (up to a set of traffic lights).
We stayed an extra night.....
